About Us

My name is Robert F. Miller, and I am the founder of DOT Safety Group. I have spent the past 25 years as a government regulatory and enforcement agent for the New York State Department of Transportation. I spent 5 years as a Motor Carrier Investigator and the remaining years as a Supervising Motor Carrier Investigator. I have been certified by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration as a Safety Auditor and have been credentialed by FMCSA in Hazardous Materials, Level 1-5 Inspections, Driver Qualifications, Hours of Service & Maintenance.

Prior to entering into State service I was employed in the transportation industry as both a terminal manager and an operations manager, operating tractor trailers in all 48 states.

I have several retired New York State Troopers from the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit and a retired New York State Department of Transportation Motor Carrier Investigator on staff to ensure that all your needs will be met.
